WHY I USE
SITES
Some have complained
that people who use sites defensively are being "weak" because
they cannot have a good defense without them. This is my reply to
that:
Many people who
use sites in their deck do so as part of an overall strategy. I have
enough cards that I can build any deck I want, with the best evil cards in
the game. But my opponents build decks to overcome strong defenses (duh!). One thing my
opponents do not always prepare for is losing their access site. If I can
discard (or remove from game) their only access site, then I can prevent my opponent
from winning.
People who do not
prepare to face such a strategy should not complain that their opponent
"has to rely on sites". They should realize that they have been
outwitted, and next time not be caught without oil in their lamp. Building a deck
that takes aim at a common weak point in others decks is simply good
strategy, not being "weak".
If you like a
faster or more "basic" game, then I can see that you would not
prefer sites. I really appreciate the
added strategy that sites give. I especially like the cards that are
improved if you have certain sites in your territory.
