REDEMPTION SECRET "CHEAT" CODES

When playing Redemption with partners, it is often helpful to let each other know what cards you have in your hand, without letting your opponents know.  These particular codes have been used here in southern California, particularly in the ARC (Arroyo Redemption Club, Arroyo High School, El Monte, CA).

Card Title Secret Codes Typical uses
Son of God  "son of Bob" OR blink one eye To find out if your partner has Son of God, ask your opponent, "Have you met the son of Bob?"  To let a partner know that you have Son of God, blink one eye.
New Jerusalem "New Jersey" "Nationals is going to be near New Jersey."
Both Son of God and New Jerusalem "blink squadron" OR blink both eyes "Have you seen the blink squadron?"  OR blink both eyes

These can give you an idea of what you can do.  It is fun to try to know what is in your partner's hand without your opponents knowing.  As long as everyone agrees this is acceptable, it adds an interesting twist to the game.

If you have any other secret "cheat" codes you would like to pass along, please do so.  I may post them here.
