Strategies:
Use Great Faith, Reach of Desperation, and Words
of Encouragement to get your Confusion, Son of God, New Jerusalem, and
Burial as
quickly as possible.
Use Pale Green evil characters with low numbers, so you will get to play
the first enhancement.
Do NOT let Gabriel attack you. Block with by-the-numbers evil characters to negate Gabriel's ability
(or activate Burial Shroud for two turns if you must) until you have drawn Confusion.
When you have Confusion in your hand, activate Holy of Holies to be sure
it will work.
Use Confusion when you are clearly losing the battle so that your opponent
cannot negate it.
Use Confusion to discard your opponent's Son of God card before he uses
it.
Rescue 2 of your own lost souls with Son of God and New Jerusalem.
Bury one of your own lost souls.
This leaves only 4 lost soul cards in your deck. In this situation,
your opponent cannot win unless one of these 3 things happens:
-
opponent plays New Jerusalem when you play your Son of God/ New Jerusalem
combo (so play it when there are only two Lost Souls in play, or at the end
of the game).
-
opponent attempts with Angel at the Tomb
(not very likely). This hero allows a player to return an unused
Son of God to draw pile. Block this Hero with a by-the-numbers evil
character.
-
opponent captures one of your heroes and puts it in your land of bondage.
To prevent this, this deck uses all female heroes to avoid Potiphar's Wife, and
includes Redemption in case of Dungeon of Malchiah.
If your opponent has already played Son of God before you play Confusion,
try to keep your opponent from winning by putting your lost souls in
sites. If he attempts with King's Daughter, Angel at Jerusalem, or
Angel in the Path, block with a by-the-numbers characters to negate their
special "access" abilities. Use your Confusion to take out
their "access" site. (Land made Waste works for that as
well).
Save your Angel of the Lord for your opponent's Emperor Nero or Prince
of this World.
Please let
me know how this deck works for you.
