Jews freedoms. Old Testament translated into Greek (called the
Septuagint) in 250 B.C.

- Hasmonean Period
The Jews were oppressed during this period. They revolted under
Judas the Maccabee.
63 B.C.
through end of N.T. - Roman Rule
The Romans, led by Pompey, conquered Jerusalem in 63 B.C., and
maintained control of it through the New Testament period. |
