The high priest called together the Sanhedrin.  They brought in the apostles who had been found preaching in the temple again.  They asked why the apostles continued to preach Jesus when they had been commanded not to do so.  The apostles replied that they must obey God rather than the Sanhedrin.  The members of the Sanhedrin were so angry that they wanted to put all the apostles to death immediately.
