God told Ezekiel to tell the king of Tyrus that
although he had been beautiful, because of his many sins he would come to
a horrible end. (The art depicts to a demon, but the verse
identifies a man. The verse may be personifying the nation of Tyrus,
rather than speaking to a particular man. In the prophesy books
of the Bible, nations are often portrayed as beasts, so the art is
not without foundation.) |
