Great Novels Worth Reading, and Re-reading!

The Pilgrim's Progress

by John Bunyan

An allegory of a Christian's life.  Tells of Christian's journey from the City of Destruction to the Celestial City.  A classic English novel.  Modern English versions are available.

The Chronicles of Narnia

by C. S. Lewis

An allegory of the gospel.  Highly recommended if you like fantasy.

Middle Earth books (The Lord of the Rings, The Silmarilion, others)

by J. R. R. Tolkien

Not an allegory, but an excellent story with a Christian/Catholic worldview, written by the Christian who introduced C. S. Lewis to Christ.  Highly recommended if you like fantasy.

Anything from Stephen Lawhead, a Christian author. His books are fantastic.
